BeneTerra team

Steve graduated from University of Queensland with first class honours in Bachelor of Science (Land Resources).  His career then over the past 25 years has seen him embed his technical skills in soil science and environmental consulting in both Australia and Canada and then operate his own construction business in both countries and then develop his leadership and business skills and environmental problem-solving skills at BeneTerra for over a decade. 

Steve is responsible for overall business operations at BeneTerra including both Land and Water Services and Water Technologies.  He develops and directs the company’s strategies and is responsible for our overall relationships with our clients.

Steve has been with BeneTerra almost from the beginning of BeneTerra’s wastewater technologies story although he took a different pathway to most.  Steve began his working career as an automotive mechanic before completing his Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) at QUT. He then joined BeneTerra in 2016 as Site Supervisor in our services division, using his experience in maintenance and engineering and developing his leadership skills. Steve jumped into a role helping to develop BeneVap as BeneTerra was entering the waste industry. 

From BV technician to now a role as Operations Manager of the Water Technologies division, Steve helps guide the team through constant improvements to the technology’s performance, as well as the development of new technologies to solve our client’s problems.

After completing a Bachelor of Nursing, Grace went on to gain postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration, Project Management and Environmental Management.  Her career has given her a broad array of skills that enable her to ensure BeneTerra delivers excellence in each project for our clients.  Grace’s experience covers oil and gas and waste industries as well as across governmental services. She is one of the key leaders within BeneTerra and enjoys helping clients resolve their environmental issues with the delivery of sensible, practical and cost-effective solutions.

Stewart has over 20 years experience in soils management and environmental impacts.  He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Protected Area Management) from the University of Queensland.  He has a track record delivering environmental management in forestry, oil and gas, construction and waste industries. Stewart is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, and a Certified Professional Soil Scientist.

Nikita is a professional Chemical Engineer who has experience in providing clients with tailored technological solutions and insights to address their water management issues to ensure positive environmental outcomes. Nikita leads BeneTerra’s research and development activities including environmental remediation and PFAS treatment technologies whilst gaining exposure to other elements of water, air and soil treatment. Nikita has a comprehensive technical knowledge as well as a practical understanding of how wastewater treatment methods are implemented across Australia and internationally. Nikita has acquired the skills necessary to consider and prepare impartial, evidence-based, holistic solutions while meeting strategic objectives, statutory requirements, and client needs. Nikita also has experience in attaining regulatory approvals and addressing complex environmental and regulatory issues.
