In the past year, we’ve reached several significant milestones that truly reflect the hard work, resilience, and passion of our team. These achievements are worth sharing—not just for recognition, but to highlight what’s possible when a team is united by curiosity, commitment, and trust.
15 years strong – our anniversary
In late November 2025, BeneTerra marked its 15th anniversary since launching in Brisbane. For a specialist company navigating the complex worlds of coal seam gas (CSG) and waste management, longevity isn’t a given; especially in an industry where change is the only constant. We’re proud to have stayed the course, remaining resilient and independent where many others have come and gone.
Excellence in safety
Safety is the backbone of our operations. We’ve now surpassed 5,500 days without a lost time injury; a remarkable record in a field where heavy machinery, remote locations, and unpredictable wildlife are part of daily life. From hazardous tasks like confined space welding and stack emissions monitoring to simply traversing sites where snakes are a common sight, our ongoing vigilance and culture of looking out for one another is what makes this possible. Our recent staff safety culture survey backs it up: our team genuinely believes in our safety systems and lives those values every day.
Empowering decision makers
We like to do things differently at BeneTerra. When clients ask to meet “the decision maker”, they’re often surprised to learn that decision-making is shared across our staff. The people closest to the work are empowered to act, supported by robust processes designed to ‘fail safely’. This approach not only speeds up innovation and problem-solving, but it also fosters pride and ownership across the team.
Delivering tangible results
Our success is measured in outcomes, not just intentions. We’ve rehabilitated more than 65 CSG ponds and hundreds of well pads, lay-down areas, rights-of-way, and storage tanks—without a single failure. Doing the science and understanding the process means we can deliver these results with certainty and reliability for our clients.
Driving industry innovation
Our BeneVap technology has now processed over 500 million litres of landfill leachate and is operating in three countries. Along the way, we’ve developed several innovative tools and secured two worldwide patents; proof of our commitment to continuous improvement and leadership in our field.
Client loyalty and team longevity
Every one of our clients has chosen to work with us again, trusting our honest feedback and direct communication. Our reputation continues to grow across the CSG and waste sectors, powered by a dedicated team; 40% of whom have been with us for over a decade, and another 30% for more than five years. This speaks volumes about our culture, mutual respect, and shared values.
