BeneTerra conducts cooperative research with the US Department of Energy-National Energy Technology Laboratory and the US Geological Survey

BeneTerra works cooperatively with the National Energy Technology Laboratory and the US Geological Survey to better understand the intricacies of coal bed water management. Working under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with DOE and a Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) with USGS , we are learning  much  about:
  • Electromagnetic ground imaging techniques  for  better  site selection  and management of  produced water irrigation  systems
  • Management of subsurface drip irrigation over shallow aquifers
  • Groundwater recharge and the influence of nearby streams
  • Geochemical interactions of coal bed water with soils and groundwater
